BEDCHAMBER

Jakarta's Bedchamber aren't your typical pop outfit. Sure, their sugary melodies and Ratta Bill Abaggi and Abi Chalabi's intertwining vocals are undeniably catchy, but beneath the sheen lies a band unafraid to experiment. Shoegaze swirls and indie rock muscle weave their way into their sound, creating a captivating blend that's both familiar and refreshingly different.

Formed in 2013, the four-piece – rounded out by bassist Smita Kirana and drummer Ariel Kaspar – have been steadily building a loyal following with their dreamy soundscapes. Their 2023 sophomore album, "Capa City," marked a sonic evolution, showcasing a band maturing while staying true to their DIY ethos. With two critically acclaimed albums and an EP under their belt, Bedchamber are poised to become one of Indonesia's most exciting indie exports.
